To Frame or Not to Frame? That is the Question.

JUST DROPPED “Smiles R Contagious Series”

Iconic Smiley Face with a few classic cartoon characters, music, and articles lurking behind the grins.

The edges have been sanded so there is no need for a frame. However, these panels are thinner than my other paintings. They don’t have the same projection as my works on canvas because they aren’t as wide.. That’s kinda a pet peeve of mine. So I decided to frame them all in floating wood frames.

Once I started looking at all the framing options I was bombarded with a ba-zillion options that drastically change the look of the paintings.

I began to think, “what if the frame I choose makes folks not want to purchase the piece?” Seriously guys, my opinion of the work changed when framed , so why wouldn’t yours? See for yourself. I framed the same piece 3 ways. Check it out 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

Moral of the story is, I can’t decide for a buyer how to display their work. It really is a matter of personal taste.

These pieces will be sold unframed. If you are looking for a frame, I know the best frame maker!
